Allen Meadows Burghound 92

2005 Albert Morot Beaune 1er Cru Teurons (France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru) Burghound, 4/1/2008, 2nd Quarter, 2008, Allen Meadows (web) 92 A distinctly ripe red and blue fruit and violet-infused nose gives way to somber and earthy flavors blessed with excellent concentration and punch on the firm but velvety finish supported by buried tannins and simply terrific length. Highly recommended. (drink starting 2013)

Stephen Tanzer International Wine Cellar 92

2005 Domaine Albert Morot Beaune Teurons Bright ruby-red. Very ripe aromas of black raspberry, dark chocolate and game; this smells like a wine from Gevrey. The thickest and largest wine in the cellar, with very full flavors of youthful black fruits and licorice. Unusually ripe and smooth for this cuvee, mounting impressively toward the back, where the broad, sweet tannins arrive late. This boasts superb palate presence. 92
