Allen Meadows Burghound 89-91

2009 Domaine Bruno Clair Marsannay Les Longeroies (France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Marsannay) Burghound, 1/31/2011, January 2011, Allen Meadows (web) 89-91 As it virtually always is, this is the best of the three Clair Marsannay examples with its more elegant and more complex cool red and blue berry infused nose. The rich, supple and suave flavors possess a relatively sophisticated mouth feel on the sappy and palate staining finish. This is definitely worth a look for a high quality/price ratio '09. (drink starting 2015)

Robert Parker Wine Advocate 90-91

2009 Bruno Clair Marsannay les Longeroies Bruno Clair A Pinot Noir Dry Red Table wine from Marsannay, Cote de Nuits, Burgundy, France Source Wine Advocate #194 May 2011 Antonio Galloni (90-91) Drink: 2011 - 2019 The 2009 Marsannay Les Longeroies is a beautiful wine that impresses for its textured, generous personality. The Longeroies shows gorgeous harmony, generous fruit and a totally inviting personality. Longeroies, Marsannay’s most celebrated vineyard, contains a mixture of clay and limestone. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2019. This is a beautiful set of wines from Bruno Clair. Every wine I tasted with Clair’s longtime oenologist Philippe Brun was gorgeous from top to bottom. While the top 2009s are certainly superb, the real jewels here are the village level wines which appear to be among the great success stories of the 2009 vintage.
